AI Minutes and Top-Up Packs

How plan minutes, purchased packs, auto-refill and the grace period work.

Where It Lives

Open the FONE app, press Edit on the Billing card, and look at the AI Minutes This Month section. It is open by default. Like the rest of the Billing panel it is owner-only.

Two Kinds of Minutes

Plan minutes come with your subscription and reset at the start of each billing cycle — unused plan minutes do not carry forward. Pack minutes are ones you have bought, and they DO roll over; they are not lost at the end of the cycle. The section shows both, and a total of what is available.

Buying a Top-Up Pack

Press Add Minutes to buy a pack. Packs are sold in blocks of 100 minutes; the price is shown before you buy and can differ by plan.

Auto-Refill

You can have a pack bought automatically when your balance runs low. Set the refill amount and the balance at which it should trigger, and the section tells you what will be charged for how many minutes at what point. Auto-refill needs a card that can be charged without you present — if the saved payment method cannot be, the section says so rather than failing quietly when the moment comes.

Running Out Does Not Cut You Off

If the balance reaches zero, service does not stop. Calls keep being answered for a further seven days while the balance runs negative, and you are emailed when it happens and again the day before the seven days are up. It is a safety net for a refill that could not go through, not an invitation to run on empty.

What Happens When You Top Up After That

Minutes used during the grace period are real and are not written off. The next minutes you receive — a pack, or the start of a new cycle — absorb what went negative first, so a small shortfall comes off the new balance rather than disappearing.
