Handle Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct Messages from FONE.
Before You Start
The Messenger & Instagram card only appears when Facebook Messenger or Instagram is switched on for your agent, or when a Facebook Page is already connected to it. If you cannot find the card, neither channel is active yet.
Unified Inbox
One card, named Messenger & Instagram, holds both. Each conversation is labeled FB for Facebook or IG for Instagram so you can tell them apart at a glance.
AI Responses
Your AI agent replies to incoming messages automatically, using the same knowledge, personality and integrations as your other channels.
Taking Over
Open a conversation and press Take Over to reply personally. Press Release to AI when you are done.
Setup
Open the Integrations card on your agent and find Facebook Messenger or Instagram DMs. Switch the integration on for the agent, then connect the Facebook Page and/or Instagram account you want it to answer for.
