eCommerce Builder Guide

Set up an online store with products, Stripe checkout, shipping, and order management.

Getting Started

Open the FONE app and open the Integrations card for your agent. Find the Ecommerce panel and press Open Ecommerce Manager. The manager opens full screen with four tabs across the top: Products, Categories, Orders and Settings. You need a Stripe account to take payments.

Store Settings

Open the Settings tab. Enter your Stripe Publishable Key and Stripe Secret Key, tick Enable Stripe Tax if you want Stripe to work out tax by customer location, and choose your Currency — USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, AUD, MXN or DOP. Set an Order Notification Email to be told about new orders. Press Save Settings.

Shipping

Shipping is set in the Settings tab too. Shipping Mode offers Flat rate per order, Flat rate per product, or Local pickup, which is free; Flat Shipping Rate is the amount charged for either flat mode. An individual product can override this on its own form. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and Stripe collects addresses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Adding Products

Open the Products tab and press Add Product. Fill in Product Name, Price, Category, Short Description — capped at 160 characters — Long Description, Shipping, and Stock, which takes either a number or the word unlimited. Tick Active to make the product visible to customers. Press Create Product; on an existing product the same button reads Save Changes.

Product Images

Images are added after the product exists, on the same form. Press Upload Image and pick a file, up to five images per product and up to 5MB each. The first image is the main one shown in listings and the cart. Remove an image with the small cross on its thumbnail.

Categories

Open the Categories tab and press Add Category to name a new one. Categories can be renamed or deleted later; deleting one leaves its products uncategorized rather than removing them. A product is put into a category from the Category dropdown on the product form.

How Checkout Works

When a customer adds products to the cart on your website and presses Checkout, they are taken to a secure Stripe Checkout page. Stripe handles the payment, collects the shipping address and calculates tax. After payment the customer sees a confirmation and you receive an order notification.

Managing Orders

The Orders tab lists every order with its status, total and items. Open an order to see its subtotal, shipping and tax, and to change its status: Pending, Paid, Fulfilled or Refunded. Choose the new status and press Update. Setting an order to Refunded asks you to confirm and then refunds it through Stripe.

Products on Your Website

When you generate website sections that mention products, a shop or a catalog, the AI pulls in your real product data — images, prices and Add to Cart buttons. The shopping cart icon appears in your site navigation so customers can browse and check out.
