eCommerce Builder Guide
Set up an online store with products, Stripe checkout, shipping, and order management.
Getting Started
Open the FONE app, tap your agent card, and scroll to the eCommerce integration. Tap to open the eCommerce settings. You will need a Stripe account to accept payments — enter your Stripe Publishable Key and Secret Key in the Settings tab.
Store Settings
Configure your store currency, tax settings, and notification email. If you enable tax automation, Stripe calculates taxes automatically based on the customer location. Set a notification email to receive order alerts.
Adding Products
Go to the Products tab and tap "Add Product." Enter the product name, URL slug, short description, long description, price, and stock quantity. Toggle "Active" to make it available for purchase. You can also organize products into categories.
Product Images
Upload up to 5 images per product. Drag and drop images or tap to browse. The first image is the main product image shown in listings and the shopping cart. Images are stored in the cloud and served automatically. Maximum file size is 5MB per image.
Categories
Organize your products into categories with custom names and descriptions. Categories help customers browse your store. You can reorder categories by dragging them into your preferred order.
Shipping
Configure shipping options in the Settings tab. Choose between flat-rate shipping (set a fixed price) or local pickup (free). Shipping is calculated at checkout. Supported shipping countries include the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
How Checkout Works
When a customer adds products to their cart on your website and clicks Checkout, they are taken to a secure Stripe Checkout page. Stripe handles payment processing, shipping address collection, and tax calculation. After payment, the customer sees a confirmation and you receive an order notification.
Managing Orders
The Orders tab shows all orders with payment status, customer email, and total amount. You can update order status (e.g., mark as shipped) and process refunds directly through the dashboard. Refunds are processed via Stripe.
Products on Your Website
When you generate website sections that mention products, a shop, or a catalog, the AI automatically pulls your real product data including images, prices, and Add to Cart buttons. The shopping cart icon appears in your site navigation and lets customers browse and check out.
